Be still my soul… What a friend we have in Jesus! Amen amen amen.

Our journey called Life is challenging and troublesome sometimes, but one thing is certain that God’s promises are yes and amen in Christ. No matter what your circumstances are, whether that involves your family, job, health, relationship, finance, ANYTHING that is small or big. Everything is easy for God, there is no small or big problem for God for He has defeated the prince of this world on the cross. Jesus is the answer, He is our Peace and Joy when we are in the storm.

We cannot rely on the wisdom of the world or what the world has to offer for answers or solutions. Although it might sounds GOOD and MAKES SENSE to our ears and brain but everything that does NOT come from THE TREE OF LIFE comes from the TREE of KNOWLEDGE of GOOD AND EVIL and that had made this world a fallen world. We think we can do this journey called life by worldly wisdom and having the right knowledge. It is our nature to rely and go back to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The Bible says that every believer is a new creation in Christ, so let’s turn our focus on the Tree of Life which is Jesus Christ. FOR CHRIST IS OUR TREE OF LIFE AND HE HAS BECOME OUR WISDOM (1 Cor 1:30). Chris is our WISDOM, Not WILL POWER, Not PLANNING, Not KNOWLEDGE, Not HAVING THE RIGHT RESOURCE OR KNOWING THE RIGHT PEOPLE although I believe that God will provide them, but we cannot rely and put our FAITH on these things. Our Faith lays on Jesus alone.

If we are lacking wisdom, we could ask God for wisdom because the King of all wisdoms (Christ) is already in us. Stop beating yourself up and trying so hard to be ‘better’ for Christ. Know that YOU are HIS BELOVED and His love for you is endless and constant. God is very PLEASED with you because of what Christ has done on the cross, since Christ is in you let him do the work in you and through you. Be at REST in everything you do, if Christ in you cannot do it, what can we do? We think we help God by trying to FIX our circumstances, but God does not need our help.

God does not FIX, HE MAKES THINGS NEW! The only thing we can do is to say “Be Still My Soul, I am letting Christ in me to do the work in me and through me”

Let’s have a look at the story when Jesus calmed the storm in the book of Matthew. The disciples were probably scared to death and as a result they awoke Jesus from sleep, Jesus then got up and shouted ‘SHALOM’ to the storm and there was perfect stillness. What kind of power does Jesus carry that even storm obeyed His command? There is this ‘coolness’ about Jesus, he was always in PEACE and NOTHING shakes Him.

That is a reality for believer when we are in the storm that JESUS will become our SHALOM PEACE. No matter how big or hard our circumstance is, if your are a believer, Christ in you is the hope of glory. You could be sad for a little while because of circumstances but Joy and Peace (which is Jesus) will take over our circumstances and turn it for our good (Romans 8:28).

No wonder in Isaiah 9:6, it says For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, PRINCE OF PEACE.
